With the help of the People's Health Trust we are now able to appoint our very own Development Manager for the Noddfa Community Centre.
The Noddfa Community Centre is highly important for Glyncorrwg, as it provides a venue to learn, to receive support, and to socialise within our small community. As a result, it is vital that we find a new Development Manager who understands this and is keen to develop the Centre and maximise its success.
We are pleased to be able to thank the People’s Health Trust for providing grant funding to support the employment of the Development Manager. This funding is available for 1 year.
The Development Manager will play a key role in ensuring the management and smooth running of Noddfa Community Centre. An important aspect of the role is to develop the business, including improving facilities and identifying new opportunities by means of effective marketing, income maximisation, networking, innovative solutions, successfully accessing appropriate grant funding.
Working closely with the Trustees and other staff and local statutory, voluntary and commercial sector organisations, the Manager will work to ensure the Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates within a sustainable framework for the benefit of local residents and organisations.
The Manager will be given a high degree of autonomy and will be self-motivated. The Board of Trustees, as line manager, will support and mentor the new Manager to aid her/him in achieving their full potential within the role.
We intend for this to be a permanent position, and so you will also need to be able to successfully apply for appropriate grant funding to sustain this post year on year.
Particular experience and skills we are looking for include:
• People and Building Management experience
• A history of successfully applying for grants and other forms
• Sound experience of project management
• Good people skills, with an open, inclusive and encouraging
• Able to demonstrate high standards of both service delivery
and building management.
Salary: £15,000 pa. Hours of work: 15 hours per week, flexible working (will include some evening and weekend working)
